About.Who I am.

My strength is the ability to simplify – I search for the essence of my client’s message, devise the most appropriate method for communicating it online and am not afraid to challenge convention. This philosophy is fundamental to how I work. I take pride in being an interdisciplinary designer, articulating ideas through appropriate media to reach audiences with clarity and purpose.

Having worked as business admin, marketer, project manager, programmer, designer and strategist before – my skillset covers all areas of web design including information architecture, user experience, visual design, traffic generation, eCommerce, Affiliate Marketing and ROI optimization. On the technical side, I have extensive knowledge of web browsers & web standards and am highly proficient at producing code that meets W3C Specifications and AA Accessibility Standards.

My awards…


Nothing to see here… I don’t like awards. Agencies that win awards, get them for showing a great deal of creativity to their industry peers. The problem with this is, that in most cases the award winning sites aren’t working well for the client’s business. So if you want to win awards with your website, I am the wrong person. If however you want to generate more business from your website or increase sales on your eCommerce site, then you should definitely contact me.

What I Believe In...

 

Plenty of companies are waking up to the fact there's little point being involved in interactive communication for the sake of, well, doing it. As more users find their feet in the digital world, it's clear companies need more than just a sensational-looking image to make an impact.

I don't believe in IT for IT's sake. I am passionate about interactive communication and helping business use it to its fullest.  The people who visit web sites aren't "users," click-throughs, hits or numbers on a spreadsheet. They're your husband, your mom, your friend, the guy who sits in the cube next to you. They're real PEOPLE, just like you and me. That's why I think a successful site is one that makes real people's lives easier... One that makes them say, "This site worked for me." So I’ve made it my mission to ensure this kind of experience at the sites I build.

My peers talk about the importance of designing for the B2B, B2C, C2B, or B2C2B market. I don't.
The truth is corporations don't use web sites, people do. B2whatever, I build a site that works for the person on the other end.

I work with smart clients who understand that it's the customer, not org-charts or office politics, that matters most. These clients are hard to find, so when I get them we treat them well.
